How do you intend to use the four areas of the media theoretical framework to communicate meaning

and meet the requirements of your chosen brief?

 My intentions are to create a front cover and contents page for the first two editions of a entertainment magazine that is being launched by Hearst Magazine UK and a working website for the magazines. In order to meet the requirements of the chosen brief I will use the four areas of the media theoretical framework (representation, language, industries and audiences) that will contribute to the communication of meaning. For the first edition of the magazine product I will feature a black male, which will show diversity between genders and race. he is titled as an "Upcoming Celebrity" and will be photographed in a Mid-Shot in order to follow typical conventions of an entertainment magazine photography. In addition, I will also ensure that the chosen subject appeals to the given target audience (those associated with social grades A and B, as well as being culturally differentiated and of both genders within the age range of 16-25). The reason as to why I want to use a male model for the first edition of the chosen brief magazine product is because of the contextual references of how men are also stereotypical female-gazed and that not just the male-gaze exists within the entertainment industry. I will have my black male posing with a body language that connotes confidence by staring straight at the the camera which will also show his power and dominance over the audience.

I found out that my target audience would expect and want my magazine to be based on film and celebrities. This will help me identify what i should include in my magazine and what my will appeal to my target audience. Producers Research In this post i am going to be carrying out research on a range of media practitioners that link to my chosen brief (magazine). I need to compare the similarity and differences between the magazines that have been created by each company.  I believe that by understanding the photographers who link to magazine front covers and pictures, will enable me to produce a media text that follows and reflects their style more effectively. MAIN TASK To conclude, i will incorporate the techniques on the front colour of my magazine which have been used by my chosen photographers. I will be using high contrast black and white and also high contrast bright colours as they are significant techniques that i have found and researched. This will enable me to produce a media text that follows my chosen photographers technique and styles more effectively because i have researched and created a powerpoint on my findings.
