Analysing my results


From question 4 (What would you expect to see in an entertainment magazine?) I found out that my target audience would expect and want my magazine to be based on film and celebrities. This will help me identify what i should include in my magazine and what my will appeal to my target audience. This will help me form my front covers and contents page in which i will include a film star or a celebrity. 

From question 8 (What type of article are you most likely to read?) I found out that my audience would prefer if my magazine included upcoming celebrities rather than celebrities who have already established themselves. This allows me to form my front cover and part of my contents page as I will be using an upcoming celebrity which allows me to appeal to my target audience as shown by my results.

From question 9 (What kind of adjectives would you use to describe an actor?) I found that my target audience would best describe an actor as secretive. This allows me to construct my headline describing the actor used within my magazine and on the magazine front cover. 

From question 10 (How much would you pay for an entertainment magazine?) I found that my target audience would pay £3.00-£3.50+ for my entertainment magazine.This shows me that i can charge a high price for my magazine and audiences would be willing to pay for it however, it also shows that my audience expect my magazine to be high quality for the price.

My Audience

My audience is both male and females who are aged between teenage and young adults (16-25) who are of the middle or working class and have time to read my magazine product. My audience also have an interest in film and celebrities and would like to see an image of a upcoming celebrity on my magazine front cover. I also found out that my audience believe that my magazine will be of a high quality and would be willing to pay a high price for my magazine.

NEA Research Part 7 Producers/ Directors Research

Producers Research In this post i am going to be carrying out research on a range of media practitioners that link to my chosen brief (magazine). I need to compare the similarity and differences between the magazines that have been created by each company.  I believe that by understanding the photographers who link to magazine front covers and pictures, will enable me to produce a media text that follows and reflects their style more effectively. MAIN TASK To conclude, i will incorporate the techniques on the front colour of my magazine which have been used by my chosen photographers. I will be using high contrast black and white and also high contrast bright colours as they are significant techniques that i have found and researched. This will enable me to produce a media text that follows my chosen photographers technique and styles more effectively because i have researched and created a powerpoint on my findings.
