Institutional Research In this post i am going to be researching the media institution and how it links to my magazine. Identifying the company and what media products that they produce and how i could use it to influence my chosen media product. I think by understanding the institution and the link to my chosen product, will enable me to produce a media text that follows and reflects their style, ideologies and ethos more effectively. Main Task (Hearst Communications) The company I am producing my set media products for is Hearst Communications (Hearst). Hearst is an American mass media and business information conglomerate Hearst owns newspapers(The telegraph, Greenwich Time, The News-Times), magazines (Cosmopolitan, ELLE, Men's Health), television channels (Cosmopolitan TV) and television stations (ESPN, A&E Network) and this is how Hearst earns its money, their revenue in 2016 was $10.8 billion.
